Our PI and fidelity cover meets the requirements set out in the FAIS Fit and Proper requirements for authorised financial services providers.
6. Nature of services provided
We render financial advice and intermediary services in respect of the FAIS product categories listed above. Our services include, among others:
- Comprehensive financial planning across estate, risk, wealth, retirement, tax, debt, and financial wellness
- Investment advice and portfolio construction
- Risk product advice (life, disability, severe illness, income protection)
- Retirement planning, including retirement annuities, preservation funds, and post-retirement income solutions
- Estate planning, including wills, trusts, and beneficiary structures (in collaboration with legal partners)
- Short-term insurance advice (in collaboration with partners where applicable)
7. Authorised product providers
Through Heptagon Wealth (FSP 9968) we have access to products from major insurers and investment houses in the South African market. Through Heptagon Capital (FSP 703) we additionally have access to the Old Mutual range as an accredited franchise.
A current list of product providers with whom we hold agreements is available on request.
8. Fees and commission
Our remuneration may take the form of:
- Commission paid by product providers in respect of risk and investment products, as prescribed by regulation
- Advice or service fees agreed with the client in writing
- Ongoing servicing fees, where applicable, fully disclosed before implementation
All applicable fees and commission are disclosed to you in writing before any product is implemented and confirmed in your Record of Advice.
9. Conflicts of interest
Conflicts of interest are managed in line with our Conflict of Interest Management Policy. The most material structural disclosure is that Heptagon Capital operates as an accredited Old Mutual franchise under FSP 703.
10. Complaints
If you wish to lodge a complaint, please refer to our Complaints Procedure. If your complaint is not resolved to your satisfaction within 6 weeks, or if you remain dissatisfied with our final response, you may refer the complaint to the FAIS Ombud:

12. Important warnings

- Premiums payable in respect of insurance products must be paid by the date specified to keep the cover in force.
- If you cancel a product, fees may apply, and the cancellation may have implications for your overall financial plan. Please consult with us before making material changes.
- Do not sign any blank or incomplete forms. Keep copies of every document you sign and every payment receipt.
